Customer Communications Manager 
£50-£475 per day (Outside IR35) 
12 month contract 
Location:  (I reckon this could be 2-3 days in Basingstoke not london)
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Communications Manager on a contract basis to be part of a super exciting project for one of our favourite clients! Our client is a leading name in the UK, well known for delivering 5* customer service to their diverse, national customer base. Currently going through a time of significant investment in digital experiences, my client is looking to create innovative new products and solutions that transform their value proposition to the market. This is a great opportunity for an experienced comms professional to be part of their journey and work closely across with their Insurance Retention marketing team to deliver end-end communications and also lead a small team.
Key Responsibilities  

  • Work with Marketing Leads to create a realistic plan to deliver Customer comms in-line with an ongoing transformation programme
  • To own a part of the customers comms journey (e.g., end to end renewals) for the insurance product set and to deliver the full suite of required communications to quality and to the plan
  • Build strong relationships with the Retention Marketing team to understand existing customer journeys, communications, campaigns, initiatives, and self-serve capability and become a subject matter expert
  • Work closely with the different project teams to define each necessary communication in terms of purpose, triggers, timing, content, and channel (Letter, Email, SMS)
  • Use your marketing, insurance, and customer communications experience to challenge existing approaches and build optimum customer journeys and communications, working closely with our clients Brand and inhouse creative teams to improve design, tone of voice and overall performance
  • Complete the necessary testing of the communications to ensure accuracy and quality and that Aurora goes live with no comms related issues


  • Experience working in an insurance, subscription, or regulated business 
  • Excellent customer communication and marketing campaign design / copy writing skills 
  • Experience delivering customer communications via multiple channels (DM, EM, SMS)
  • Experience in working effectively within large scale projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
