We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join one of the UK’s best known and most trusted brands in the UK at an exciting time. As a Data Analyst within the Insurance team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying BI tools and dashboards to deliver regulatory reporting and analytical solutions, to drive senior business decisions and support our partner businesses. You will be working alongside internal stakeholders of all levels to understand what problems they are trying to solve, and supporting them by defining solutions to meet complex problems.
  
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on high-profile analysis with exposure to all elements of our Insurance business such as digital and contact centre channels and pricing and marketing teams. With stakeholder engagement across all levels up to Managing Director. You will be involved in project deliveries as well as supporting the business with continuous improvement.
Responsibilities

  • Working with business stakeholders to understand the business decisions / challenge which could be solved by data
  • Working with other teams to identify data sources and extraction processes
  • Developing ETL processes to generate required outcome
  • Continuous improvement of processes and reporting
  • Engagement with 3rd parties to support agreement of external reporting requirements
  • Ensure that all solutions are fit for their operational purpose and, in particular, that the specific demands and requirements of distributed & mobile environments are fully taken into account

Skillset

  • SQL, R or Python
  • Customer / marketing data
  • Reporting (power bi / looker)
  • ETL process experience
  • Design clean and intuitive dashboards in tools like Power BI, Looker or something similar
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Make use of other customer data to enrich analysis and generate a deeper level of insight into a customer’s behaviour with the aim to provide stakeholders with actionable insights
  • You have a solid understanding of statistical techniques (like CHAID, regression, clustering techniques, correlation analysis, statistical testing), strong problem solving skills as well as the ability to drive actionable insights from massive data sets
  • An understanding and applied knowledge of User Experience and Customer Journey concepts 
  • Experience with data sets from social platforms would be preferable

Education and Qualifications:

BA/BSc with a high degree of numeracy and a strong academic record
